This blacksmith with his own workshop in Barcelona, who acquired a big reputation at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, was part of the team given the job of making the wrought ironwork for Palau Gu?ell (1885-1889; Nou de la Rambla, 3-5), a building designed by the architect A. Gaudí. He was also involved in other Gaudí buildings such as Casa Calvet (1898; Casp, 48) and in making the two-leaf grille for Casa Vicens (1883-1888; Carolines, 18-24; now in MNAC collection).
Those who worked with him included S. Gabarró and the Badia brothers.
