Through twenty-four works by Ignacio Zuloaga (1870-1945) and twelve by Hermen Anglada-Camarasa (1871-1959), this exhibition lets us enjoy the coincidences and differences between these two painters. In their works, they both depicted the themes so in vogue in the Paris of the times, such as gypsies, Madrid's maja cultural costumes, and landscapes. Despite both artists having a strong and highly similar influences from Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, the divergences between their painterly languages and individual focuses were quite clear.

The Art Nouveau movement was characterised by motifs, shapes and lines inspired by nature. It paid special attention to the use of colour, a prominent feature of many works in this artistic movement that became an important and innovative facet of Art Nouveau architecture.

This exhibition will showcase examples from Aveiro, with a particular focus on architecture, ceramics and textiles.

Palau Martorell is presenting one of the largest exhibitions dedicated to Joaquín Sorolla in Barcelona. Bringing together 86 masterpieces by the Valencian painter, the show offers a unique approach, with literary curation by Manuel Vicent around Sorolla's work, creating an unusual dialogue between painting and literature. The exhibition 'In Sorolla's Sea with Manuel Vicent', is organised in collaboration with the Sorolla Museum and the Sorolla Museum Foundation.
